Prompt: Discover how I broke through a brick wall in my own family history.

I found documents in archival storage in Kentucky that disproved a theory that had existed for 200+ years in my family. Someday, I may be able to go into more detail, but my third-great-grandfather told his second wife that his first wife had died shortly after their marriage in 1822. Documents filed in court proved otherwise; there was a divorce in 1825.

Hopefully, I can write this up for either certification and/or publication and then I will be able to share fully the details.

The main point to take away from this: I had to visit a repository in person; not everything is online.
